Although not known at the time, in 2003 Riggs Communications was beginning to be molded. From 2003 to 2006, Brad Cisar would do freelance graphic design work for various companies and corporations, several of which are in the medical field. In January of 2006, Brad and his wife Jennifer, sat down to discuss the direction of his freelance work, and it was agreed upon that it was time to take it to the next level. From that day forward, they would operate as a marketing and design firm, with Jennifer being the owner and Brad taking the lead as CEO/Creative Director.
The Name
"It’s really quite simple", Brad said. "I am disabled, confined to a wheelchair, and have limited use of my muscles. I have a small spaniel mix named Riggs who assists me by doing the things that I cannot do myself. So in given the opportunity to name the company, I felt compelled to select a name which directly represents our drive and ability to meet the needs and demands of every client, which is our goal. What more can I say? A small dog able to do big dog tasks and a small firm able to do big agency work."
